Summary A US report has claimed that newly appointed Al Qaeda Chief had ordered abduction of Daniel Pearl.
The report said that Khalid Shaikh Muhammad, who was arrested after being accused of plotting the September 11, 2001 attacks, revealed during investigation that an Egyptian man, named Saif, had consulted him regarding abduction of the United States journalist, Daniel Pearl, in 2002. He said that Saif had asked him to abduct Daniel. He said Saif wanted to gain some benefits from Daniel’s abduction.Khalid said that Daniel was abducted by Pakistani militants and was later handed over to Al Qaeda.
