KARACHI (Dunya News) The Sindh government has decided to amend the rules of its assembly, after which the chief minister’s advising council will be able to participate in the proceedings of the House.
After the National Assembly and Senate, the elected members of the Sindh Assembly will be able to answer the questions asked by the selected advisory members.
The law department has begun drafting the proposed amendments and it is likely to be submitted to the assembly for final approval later this month after cabinet approval.
In this regard, the provincial minister, Sardar Shah, said that the adviser of the relevant body can respond better to the members of the assembly after the approval of this bill. Advisors will be able to respond to questions, inquires and attentive notices with this amendment, he expressed, adding that advisers will not have the option to participate in any kind of voting.
On the other hand, the government has also issued a notification for appointment of parliamentary secretaries of the irrigation and food departments so that they can answer in the absence of the ministers.
