IHC orders to produce Pakistani citizen in UK jail before court

Summary HC heard a case pertaining to non-shifting of Pakistani citizen Tariq Aziz in UK jail to home.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday directed Foreign Secretary, Interior Secretary and UK ambassador to produce the Pakistani citizen imprisoned in UK jail before court.

IHC heard a case pertaining to non-shifting of Pakistani citizen Tariq Aziz in UK jail to his home country.

Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiani remarked that high commission should close its office if it cannot bring Pakistani citizen back. He said Nawaz Sharif can go abroad within two days while it is still undecided how to bring a common man back to its country.

He further said concerned persons would be sent to jails if court order not followed.

Justice Kiani said millions are being spent on foreign embassies but they are playing ping pong with each other.

He directed Foreign and Interior ministry to submit in written when would Tariq be produced before court otherwise court will announce its verdict.
