Summary The electricity shortfall has been decreased in the country but there is no let up in load shedding.
According to PEPCO sources, the power shortfall has decreased to 4,795 megawatt from 5,789 megawatt.The total electricity generation capacity is currently 13,286 megawatt, but demand is 18,081 megawatt.At least 6,500 megawatt is being supplied to Karachi. But there is no let up in load shedding as the people are facing 12 hours of power outages in cities and 18 hours in rural areas.
