Sacrifices in war on terror should be acknowledged: Gilani

Summary Prime Minister Gilani said that the global community should help Pakistan increase it war capacity.

In an interview with a Chinese news agency, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that more than 30,000 innocent citizens have been killed and at least 5,000 Pakistani soldiers have been martyred in the war against terror.Prime Minister Gilani said that the world should acknowledge and realize Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terror and the global community should help Pakistan increase it war capacity.Earlier, in a meeting with the Chinese President Hu Jintao, both the leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in various field including economic ties and defence cooperation.President Hu Jin Tao said that Gilani’s visit would help enhance strategic cooperation. The 30 minute scheduled meeting between the two leaders lasted for more than an hour.
