RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday rejected the speculations for amendment in Pak Army Act.
As per details, DG ISPR in a tweet clarified that the speculations for amendment in Pak Army Act to implement ICJ verdict regarding convicted Indian terrorist Commander Kulbushan Jadhav are incorrect.
DG ISPR said various legal options for review and reconsideration of the case are being considered and final status in this regard shall be shared in due course of time.

Earlier, it surfaced that Pakistan’s government has prepared a draft to amend Army Act for allowing Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav a right to file an appeal in a civilian court against his conviction

However, the amendment to the Army Act will be only applicable to the International Court of Justice’s judgments. The purpose of the amendment is to determine the legal procedure of filing an appeal against military court decisions.
Currently, cases under trial in the military courts and under the Army Act law forbade such individuals or groups from filing an appeal and seeking justice from the civilian court.
