Summary Shifting Maryam Nawaz to jail despite unstable health is worrisome, says Marriyum Aurangzeb.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has on Thursday strongly condemned the shifting of party vice-president Maryam Nawaz to Kot Lakhpat jail despite unstable health.
The PML-N leader maintained that Maryam Nawaz was suffering from high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat when she was moved back to the jail at 05:00 AM today, and said the decision taken by authorities is worrisome.
She said Maryam Nawaz has been unwell for some days and doctors had decided to shift her to hospital after conducting her medical tests. The PML-N vice-president’s medical reports were not shared with her personal physician – Doctor Adnan – and her children, she added.
She stressed that Maryam Nawaz has been moved back to the jail in this manner in an attempt to cause further mental torture to incarcerated former prime minister and her father, Nawaz Sharif.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said apathetic leaders are not learning a lesson from Nawaz Sharif’s deteriorating health and termed their attitude as dictatorial, fascist and regrettable.
