Summary Weather continues to scorch the country as mercury soars to 47 Celsius in interior Sindh.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that mercury would soar in most parts of the country as the weather would remain hot and dry for two days. The temperature crossed the 45 Celsius mark in various cities of Punjab, including Lahore. Spells of hot wind had already restricted people to their homes.However, gusty weather is expected in southern Punjab during evenings.Maximum temperature in the country, 48 Celsius, was recorded in Nurpur Thal, whereas 47 Celsius was recorded in Mohenjo Daro, Dadu, Larkana, DG Khan and Bahawalnagar.People increased the use of cold drinks while the medical experts advised people to cover their heads when exposed to the sun.
