ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has failed again today (Sept. 30) to submit the challan despite a court order which resulted into contempt of court in Judge Arshad Malik video scandal case.
The court outraged remarking that it was a contempt of court not to submit challan despite a court order. The court ordered the copy of the decree to be sent to the Secretary Establishment and the Secretary of Interior.
The Anti-Electronic Crimes Court Judge expressed anger over the matter and remarked that the poor performance of the FIA under DG FIA Bashir Memon would have a negative impact on the institution. The accused Tariq Mehmood was also produced before the court from Adiala Jail.
The FIA said the new prosecutors, Director Legal FIA Tahir Mehmood, were appointed yesterday, therefore he could not appear in court. The court while directing the FIA to file complete challan on next hearing at every cost adjourned the hearing of the case till October 07.
