NAB approves inquiry against Shehbaz Sharif over illegal allotment of ETPB land

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday approved an inquiry against Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif over allegations of illegal allotment of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) land.

The approval was given in the NAB s executive board meeting chaired by anti-graft watchdog Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal.

According to the declaration of the meeting, the executive board while overall approving seven inquiries and five investigations, decided to file a corruption reference against former Balochistan chief minister Nawab Aslam Raisani.

The executive board has also approved filing of reference against Dr Amjad in Eden Housing Scandal. He is accused of a fraud of Rs25 billion in the name of the housing society.

The meeting has also approved inquiries against former deputy speaker Punjab assembly Sher Ali Gorchani.
