The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a new heat wave for the southern areas of the country from today while the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country.According to the PMD, five to seven degree increase in temperature is expected in Punjab and Sindh. However, heavy downpour coupled with lightning and thunder is likely in the mountainous regions of Kashmir.
