People in Balochistan fear operation

Osama operation gave rise to speculations about possible operation in Quetta. Political leadership that always criticised refugees has become more vocal now. The residents of Quetta are also said to be in fear of any such operation and they believe it is a conspiracy against Pakistan. It is commonly believed in Quetta, Mullah Umar lives in Afghanistan. The registered refugees in the province are over 3 lakh while illegal residents are thought to be much more than this. Administration argues the borders would be monitored effectively. Khroteabad, Ghausabad, Satellite Town, Pushtoonabad and Kutchlak are areas where most Afghan refugees live. They left their camps and have made their permanent settlements.
