Summary No relief for people, despite decrease in power shortfall.

The Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) failed to repair technical faults due to strike of employees and some areas are still without power supply. Hour-long unscheduled electricity load shedding is affecting people. The KESC employees protest against what they call forced retirement continues for the fifteen consecutive day. People in several areas of Karachi, including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Sarjany Town, Municipality Town and Landhi Town suffered from an unscheduled load shedding of more than 14 hours. The load shedding duration in urban and rural areas of Punjab is varying between 8 to 14 hours a day.Peshawar is facing eight hours a day load shedding while 14 to 18 hours a day power outage are being observed in other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
