Summary Mayor warned citizens against throwing garbage in nullahs.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhter said improving the sewerage and garbage system has become inevitable to solve the issues of Karachi. He said better results can be achieved by delivering Sindh Solid Waste Management’s budget to districts.
Mayor in his visit to various parts of Karachi after heavy rains said nullahs were cleaned a week ago and citizens are responsible for these garbage dumps. He said nullahs are filled with garbage within days again. He also warned citizens against throwing garbage in nullahs.
He demanded from Sindh government to make situation better in terms of garbage factories in the city.
He hoped Sindh government would cooperate in this regard. He said all of us must work together keeping politics aside for the betterment of the city.
