Opposition says instead of increasing the budget for policing, get audited the previous year’s budget allocated for the same purpose. People are pointing fingers to ever-increasing target killing and more than 12 blasts in four months. During current fiscal year about Rs 1.7 billion were spent on CCTV cameras, but police could arrest a single perpetrator. Sindh Information Minister says owing to deteriorating Law and order situation, inevitably, the budget for law and order should be increased. Opposition leader Jam Maddad Ali said increase in police budget is not helping. Interior Department says 30,000 policemen for the city of 200 million are not enough.
