LAHORE (Dunya News) – A minor boy has died after falling into the open manhole in Shera Kot area of Lahore. The rescue teams recovered the dead body after 4 hours.
As per details, Rehan,5 fell into an open manhole in Shera Kot. CCTV footage shows the cover of the manhole away from it. Rehan fell into open manhole while he was passing from manhole.
Rescue teams and police arrived at the scene and recovered dead body. MD WASA has formed a committee to look into the matter.
The locals protested against the sad incident and demanded legal action against those involved.
MD WASA said manhole was opened by Ghulam Mustafa but he did not put it on right place due to which this tragic incident happened. He said a case has been registered at Shera Kot police station. Director P&D Usman Babar would submit inquiry report to MD WASA.
