Summary The LHC Administration Committee dismissed an additional session judge and two civil judges.
A meeting of Administration Committee headed by LHC Chief Justice Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry was held in Lahore High Court. The promotion of judges was decided in the meeting.The Committee promoted 11 additional session judges as district and session judges while 22 civil judges were promoted as senior civil judges.Meanwhile, 95 civil judges were given the authority of Grade 2.The administration committee sent two judges on forced retirement including Additional Session Judge Shafique Butt and Civil judge Jehangir Waens on violation of their authority.The Committee also issued the orders to dismiss Civil Judge Qurban Ali on corruption charges.
