Summary Osama Bin Laden stayed at Chak Shah Muhammad in Haripur for two years before moving to Abbottabad.
One of Bin Ladens widows told investigators that he stayed in Chak Shah Muhammad for nearly two and a half years before moving to Abbottabad at the end of 2005.After the revelation, the intelligence officials arrived at the village and questioned some local people. Most of them said that they had never seen Osama around or any other stranger.The village is covered with difficult mountain routes and forests and has 3 entrance/exit routes. Some people have also made cave-like homes in the mountains. Some caves show signs of life but now they are empty.People were still residing in those cave-like homes. They said that it was a local tradition to live in those caves when the weather was extremely hot out there.They got extremely worried after hearing the news that Osama had been living in their village. Most of them earned their livelihood by breeding sheep and goats.
