ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Wednesday held a one-on-one meeting with the opposition leader in the Senate Raja Zafarul Haq to discuss the matters pertaining to the no-confidence motion filed against him (Sanjrani) by the joint opposition parties.
Importantly, a joint candidate Hasil Bizenjo, who has been nominated by the opposition for the chairmanship, after possible de-seating of the sitting chairman, is also taking part in the meeting.
Responding to a question posed by a journalist whether the meeting is being held over withdrawing the no-confidence motion against him, Sanjrani said: “Couldn’t we have a usual talk, are we displeased with each other?”
“I have no knowledge about the withdrawal of the no-trust motion,” he said, adding that the calling of the next session of the Senate would be considered jointly.
