Summary Protests were staged in all the big cities against AbbottAbad raid.
In Karachi a rally was held near Tibet Centre. After firing during the rally panic spread, though no loss of life was reported. On Mall Road in Lahore religious and political parties protested against America. Protesters demanded of the government to take nation into confidence.Jamaat Islami staged a protest rally in Peshawar terming the raid a fraud like 9/11.In the suburbs of Quetta, JUI-N staged a rally. Haji Fazal and Maulana Abdul Qadir, while addressing the rally, said Jihad would continue despite Osama;s death. In Multan protestors demanded US to apologize for launching the raid. In Sukker JI, Jamaatud Daawa and JUI jointly protested. The speakers said after the raid, terrorists activities would be stepped up.
