Summary K-Electric demands Rs1 billion in compensation for damage from KMC.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The K-Electric (KE) has demanded Rs1 billion in compensation from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for damaging its property, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, the KE has also submitted a plea to lodge an FIR against the KMC for torturing its security guards.
It is worth mentioning here that the KE had cut power supply to the KMC head office following unpaid dues of Rs4 billion. The KMC allegedly attacked the KE offices afterwards, damaged its property and tortured security guards as well.
On the other hand, the KMC took the stance that water motors are not functional at Jheel Park, Hill Park, Bagh Ibne Qasim and other parks as the power supply has been cut off and the grass is withering. The local also face trouble in the dark, it added.
