Summary Provincial minister Shoukat Lalika pressurized DC to open the illegal petrol pumps
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In an apparent case of political intervention in administrative affairs, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Rana Saleem was removed from his post.
According to Dunya News, provincial minister Shoukat Lalika pressurized DC to open the illegal petrol pumps that were shut by him. DC had refused to accept the orders of provincial minister to which he complained to CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
Sources said DC Saleem had investigated illegal transfers and corruption was revealed during the investigation. One officer was sacked while 7 others were made OSD.
Provincial minister Shoukat Lalika said DC conducted a sports festival but their pictures were not displayed and they complained to CM. He said petrol pump is on the name of his manager.
S&GAD said DC Saleem was transferred on the orders of CM Punjab Usman Buzdar.
