LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday arrested six activists of banned organizations from different cities of Punjab, Dunya News reported.

According to CTD spokesperson, two of the arrested accused, Aurabgzaib and Usman Zia belonged to proscribed Jamaat-ud-Dawa while Ikram, Muhammad Hussain, Aftab Ahmad and Abdul Jabbar are members of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

The CTD spokesperson further informed that the arrested accused were collecting funds for their respective organizations when they were taken into custody on the intelligence reports.

The CTD personnel also recovered large amount of money, receipts and banned literature from their possession. Further investigation is ongoing.
