ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Monday that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution which has no connection with the government.

While talking in the NA after Zardari’s arrest, he expressed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has always maintained two point policy to reflect their frame of mind on NAB. He asserted that PTI believes, ‘NAB should not be used for witch hunting’ and ‘across the board’ accountability must be held.

He further said that everyone in the House is entitled to say their piece and such behavior which will honor the Assembly.

While talking about the railways, he expressed that improvement has been experienced in the tenure of Federal Minister of Railways Sheikh Rasheed when Eid-ul-Fitr showed a big amount of improvement by generating revenues, increasing the amount of passengers and by cutting the cost. Such revenues have not been witnessed in the previous tenures, he added.
