Summary Five persons were killed in Karachi, including an office-bearer of MQM.
Angry mob torched 42 vehicles in various parts of Karachi. Unknown assailants in Landhi killed Farooq Baig, an office-bearer of the MQM. In Korangi area 2 persons were killed. In Gulistan-e-Johar , Malir, Landhi, water Pump and Orangi, there occurred many incidents of intense firing. The markets and shops were closed out of fear. Unknown miscreants torched vehicles in Shah Faisal colony, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Liaqatabad, water Pump and Orangi.
