US President Barack Obama announced that Osama bin Laden was killed in a gun battle with US forces in Abbottabad.The US special forces took custody of the Bin Ladens body and DNA testing has confirmed his identity.The US president said that he had spoken with President Zardari and other Pakistani authorities and they all agreed that it was a major success in war against terrorism.Talking to Dunya News, Inter Services Intelligence Director General Lt General Ahmad Shuja Pasha also confirmed the death of Osama bin Laden.Pakistan People’s Party Leader Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan always opposed terrorism and Pakistani people had made many sacrifices in war against terrorism.Talking to Dunya News, she said that killing of Osama was a big success for the country.Meanwhile, security of the US embassies around the globe has been beefed up.
