Wrong injection case: Nashwa’s father reconciles with hospital administration

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Father of Nashwa, the minor girl who became victim of negligence of hospital administration, said he has reached a settlement and family also accepted apology of administration.

Nashwa’s father Qaiser Ali reconciled with Darul-Sehat hospital administration. He said hospital would form Nashwa trust and name children ward after Nashwa.

Talking to media at Karachi press club, Qaisar said he reconciled with hospital administration on some conditions. He said the hospital would form a trust and Rs 5 million annually would be given to the trust. He said hospital’s college would provide scholarship to two students annually.

He said this incident proved that Sindh’s health care commission is incompetent. He said Nashwa foundation has been registered. Qaisar Ali hailed the role of media in this case and said he would soon hold a press conference with hospital administration.

It is pertinent to mention here that a nine month-old baby Nashwa, daughter of Qasiar Ali, was admitted at Darul Sehat Hospital on April 06 for the treatment of diarrhea and later, her health deteriorated due to the direct intravenous injection of potassium chloride which caused her death.
