KARACHI (Dunya News) – Former Finance Advisor Dr Salman Shah said on Monday that reforms have become inevitable in present time. We have to make tax system fair and eliminate the corruption.
Talking in DunyaNews program ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, he said that an increase in interest rate was expected in market but the raise was lower than we predicted. He further said that the current accounts deficit will gradually keep decreasing now. “Our focus is on reforms now”, he added.
He expressed that is time to talk about reforms now. He advised that the tax system should be transparent now whereas corruption should be completely eliminated.
He asserted that reforms should be made in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and electricity department. “If we don’t control the losses then the problems will prolong”, he added.
