The prime minister was addressing a gathering of industrialists at Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).He said that an energy conference would be convened soon to evolve a load management plan.The PM said that all the institutions were working within their respective constitutional domains and the situation would further improve with the passage of time.He said that he approved the installation of power plants on the suggestion of Shahbaz Sharif while the Thar Coal Power Project was shifted to the provincial government.The PM said that Kalabagh Dam was made controversial in past but the present government convened a meeting of chief ministers and decided to build Bhasha Dam.He said that the government took steps to overcome electricity shortage and added 2,000 megawatts of power to the national grid while another 2,000 megawatts would be generated shortly.The prime minister said that economic stability was not possible without political stability. He added that no war could be won without public support and stressed the need for national unity against militancy.
