ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - NAB has formally started investigations against PML-N leader and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal in Narowal sports city complex scandal.
According to Dunya News sources, NAB has sent a questionnaire to Ahsan Iqbal. Chairaman NAB Justice (r) Javed Iqbal took notice of the alleged embezzlement in construction of Narowal sports city complex.
The sources said security measures were also not taken into account in Rs 6 billion project. The sports city is only 800Km away from Indian border and built on 44 acres.
Sources added the amount from PSDP was granted through Pakistan Sports Board.
Objections surfaced on mega project in a small city while the project was completed without any project director.
DG Sports Board Akhtar Ganjera was made project director and NAB is investigating this matter too.
