Summary Committee approved State Bank amended act and Rs 13 trillion loan return to SB within 8 years.
An in-camera meeting of Senate standing committee on finance held under the chair of Senator Ahmad Ali.According to the sources, PPP and PML-N agreed on the issue that the State Bank would not enjoy an autonomous status.The government agreed with the suggestion of PML-N and the committee approved the State Bank Amended Act 2010.PML-N maintained that the reason behind increasing the duration of loan return was to create favourable situation for the next government.
