ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A parliamentary committee regarding national security has been formed on Friday under the leadership of National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser. Senate and NA members will be a part of the committee with composition and terms of reference (ToRs).
The committee will review implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) after every 15 days.
National security parliamentary committee will take steps in considering the cases of civil court and future of the military court to monitor the process of transition through criminal justice reforms.
The committee will also submit its recommendations on the national issues in both the Parliament houses.
Parliamentary body has been constituted in persuance of the motion adopted by the NA and the Senate in their sittings held on 21st February and 1st March 2019, respectively.
