Younus Habib, suspect in Asghar Khan case, passes away

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Younus Habib – former Mehran Bank chief and suspect in Asghar Khan case – has on Wednesday passed away.

Younus Habib was accused of distributing money among the politicians to create the Islamic Jamhoori Ittehad against the Pakistan People Party (PPP) as he was the chief executive officer of the Mehran Bank in 1996.

He was suffering from cancer, kidney and other diseases, and had been hospitalized in Karachi for last several days. The funeral prayers for the deceased will be offered in DHA tonight.
