Summary Asad Umar stepped down as Finance Minister earlier
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for water resources Faisal Vawda said that the ministers are there to serve the public and no minister can keep the portfolio forever.
Answering a question on Dunya News’ ‘’on the front’’, the federal minister expressed that the reasons behind the resignation of Finance Minister Asad Umar are still unknown but the final decision remains in the hands of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Vawda further said, the criticism is a good tradition in democracy and holding a specific portfolio is based on performance. He said that late decision to go to IMF is not linked with Asad Umar.
