KARACHI (Dunya News) – Renowned Italian designer Stella Jean, along with representatives of UNIDO, is visiting Pakistan, as the designer intends to showcase Pakistan during her fashion show in Milan Fashion Week Italy.
Pakistan is a dream destination for foreigners, having multicultural diversity and a mix of cultural and ethnic clusters spread out from Sindh to Chitral” remarked the renowned Italian designer Stella Jean while meeting Mian Riaz Ahmad, Director General Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Lahore.
Jean’s delegation is visiting Pakistan, along with representatives from UNIDO, to explore the strengths of Pakistan, focusing on history of textiles, truck art, traditional hand embroideries, unique dresses of Kalash people etc.
The Director General emphasized that the tagline “Emerging Pakistan” is sufficient to define and introduce Pakistan as a country of peace and prosperity to the Italians.
He exclaimed that after struggling with the perils and aftermath of “War on Terror”, Pakistanis have emerged as a resilient nation to safeguard the image of their country.
He reiterated that such visits from foreign delegates will play a very important role in developing trade linkages and these individuals will play the role of Pakistan’s Ambassadors in their native country, in uplifting the image of Pakistan and assuring others that it is safe and secure to visit Pakistan.
The delegation thanked the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan for its support and left with a promise that this will only be the beginning of a long term relationship between Pakistan and Italy.
