Summary There is actually a day celebrating men on November 19
(Web Desk) – Women have heard about and celebrated International Womens Day on March 8 but for the men in general who kind of feel left out and a bit unwanted, there is actually a day celebrating men on November 19.
Those who are thinking that it must be joke and what on earth does an International Men’s day mean, what is it for? They have all the rights in the world, 365 days a year, is there an actual reason behind celebrating this day?
Infact there is a reason behind this day, the International Men’s Day was founded in 1999 by a history lecturer at University of the West Indies in Trinidad Tabago named Dr Jerome Teelucksingh. This day has been celebrated for the past 20 years, it encourages communication on topics that effect men’s physical and mental health and to reinforce positive role models for boys to look up to.
