ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - According to a list obtained by Dunya News, at least 1082 names were placed on exit control list (ECL) in the last three years while names of 3049 people were removed from the ECL during the same period.
According to details, 451 people from Punjab were placed on the ECL, along with 317 people from Sindh, 38 from Islamabad, 96 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 24 from Balochistan, 14 from Azad Kashmir (AJK) and four from Gilgit Baltistan. The details and origins of another 138 people on the ECL were not known.
The names removed from the list include 1,103 people from Punjab, 613 from Sindh, 179 from KP, 92 from Balochistan and 56 from AJK, 13 from Gilgit Baltistan and 133 from Islamabad. The details or the places of origin of 860 people removed from the ECL were not known.
More than 12,000 names were currently present on the ECL which also include 138 individuals whose details or the places of origin were not known.
