Summary Strong winds and rains were observed in several parts of the country on Friday.
Strong winds and rain turned the weather pleasant in part of Punjab. The rains in April lifted the spirits of the people but the strong winds also caused unexpected power outages. On the other hand, heavy rains and rain was reported in the Bagh area in Azad Kashmir.In the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded at 14 millimetres in Kohat. Dera Ismail Khan, Parachinar and Dir had 5 millimetres, Peshawar 3 millimetres, Murree 2 millimetres while Kalat had one millimetre of rain.In the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department of Pakistan has predicted strong winds and thunderstorms followed by rains in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north-east Balochistan and northern parts of Sindh.
