Summary Formation of a party has been announced regarding the restoration of Bahawalpur Province.
A convention for the restoration of Bahawalpur Province held in Bahawalpur. Formation of Bahawalpur Awami Party was announced by different political groups on this occasion. Nawab Salahuddin would be the party chairman.Mutahida Mahaz Party of Senator Muhammad Ali Duran, Bahawalpur Province Restoration Movement of Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood including the leadership of other groups participated in the convention.Addressing the gathering, Nawab Salahuddin said that the people of Bahawalpur rejected 40-year-old decision of the inclusion of Bahawalpur Province in Punjab.He claimed that that all the nationalities in Southern Punjab, including Punjabi, Mohajir and Saraiki were united for the restoration of Bahawalpur Province.
