Summary The Federal Cabinet is likely to be expanded next week.
According to sources, MQM has agreed to join the cabinet. Sources said that oath-taking ceremony is expected to be held on April 18 or 19 in which six or seven new minister will take oath. The cabinet will have four members of the Pakistan People’s Party and two members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.According to sources, MQM’s Babar Ghauri will take oath as a minister while names of Hyder Abbas Rizvi, Farooq Sattar and Khushbakht Shujaat are under consideration. On the other hand, names of the PPP’s Justice Fakhar-un-Nisa and Begum Naseem Chaudhry are under consideration for the law minister’s post.Either Sherry Rehman or Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali will be the next foreign minister. According to sources, it is likely Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will get the post of privatisation minister.
