Pakistan lodges protest with Iran over Turbat incident

Summary Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan was called to the Foreign Office.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Six Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom last night when around thirty terrorists ambushed an FC convoy on patrolling duty along the Pakistan-Iran border.

According to a statement issued by Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal, fourteen other soldiers were also injured in the cowardly terrorist attack.

He said four terrorists were killed in exchange of fire.

The Spokesperson said the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan was called to the Foreign Office to lodge a strong protest against the ghastly incident.

He said the government of Iran was urged to carry out effective operation against the terrorist group responsible for the attack on its side of the border. 

Prime Minister Imran Khan has also strongly denounced the attack on security personnel in Kech district of Balochistan.

In his message, the Prime Minister prayed for the departed souls and commiserated with the bereaved families. He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the attack.

The Prime Minister said the cowardly acts of enemies cannot shake the resolve of our security personnel. He said the terrorist elements will be chased till they are completely wiped off.
