Summary All the canals used to supply water to 10 districts of Faisalabad region have been closed.
According to the Irrigation Department, the Lower Chenab Canal System and the LCC Feeder Canal System was shut down after the Indus River System Authority decreased the quota for Punjab. This cased Jhang branch, Rakh branch, Lower Gogeera, Upper Gogeera, Borala, Mian Ali branch and affiliated canals to close for an indefinite period.After the canals closed, the water supply for the crops of Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahab and Chaniot was also suspended.
