Summary The second JF-17 Thunder aircrafts squadron was inducted into the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The indigenously produced JF-17 Thunder officially replaced A-5 III aircrafts for the 26 Squadron in a ceremony at the PAF base. Addressing the ceremony, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said that the induction of JF-17 Thunder aircraft would enhance the operational capabilities of the PAF. The air chief said that he was grateful to the Chinese engineers for their cooperation and support in modeling the JF-17 Thunder. He said that the country was in a state of war and the PAF was aware of its responsibilities.
