LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday took notice of the deaths of two minor children of a family died after consuming unhygienic food at a local restaurant in Karachi.
The CJP while taking notice summoned a report from Sindh government in 10 days.
Sources told Dunya news that Justice Nisar took notice of the incident on the plea of Judicial Activism Panel head Azhar Siddique.
Earlier on November 11, in a tragic incident in Karachi, two children of family died after consuming unhygienic food at a local restaurant in Zamzama area. The two children were five and one-year-old.
As per details shared by SSP South Peer Muhammad Shah, a woman and her two children had eaten substandard food and the family latter bought candies from a stall at a children’s playland in Defence Phase-IV four area.
The three fell ill in wee hours of Sunday and were rushed to hospital at around 12 noon where children expired. The mother is still under treatment but out of danger.
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah and Sindh IG had taken notice of the incident. A report has also been summoned.
