Summary Former president Pervez Musharraf rejected the devolution of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
He said that the establishment of the HEC was a big achievement of his government, adding that the other countries had established institutions like the HEC to promote higher education. He maintained that devolution of the HEC would affect the stander of the education. He urged the government to withdraw the decision.
