Summary Every province had a right to setup its own commission the HEC, says Sindh minister.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that all those who were opposing the devolution of the HEC were infringing upon provincial autonomy. Talking to the media after a vice chancellors meeting, Iftikhar said that parliaments did not want to destroy the education system. He said that after handing over of the HEC to provinces, foreign aid and funding for the higher education would be continued and a body would be established to replace the HEC.
