ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The opposition parties on Tuesday staged walk-out of the National Assembly (NA) in protest against the absence of Finance Minister Asad Umar.

Expressing anger over the departure of the minister, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah said that the opposition will not take part in discussion on the economy until Asad Umar returns.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that the opposition is deliberately staging walk-out so as to meet ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Parliament House.

Earlier, finance minister urged opposition to cooperate with the government to improve the economy and also assured them to consider their suggestions.
