MULTAN (Dunya News) - As the anti-encroachment operation continues, Multan Development Authority (MDA) on Monday has demolished dozens of buildings erected illegally in MDA Chowk, fish market and dozens of other illegal encroachments in the adjacent areas.
All encroachments erected illegally in state owned land of the fish market have been flattened.
The divisional administration said that the operation clean-up is underway with an aim to demolish all illicit plazas, shops and housing societies.
Earlier on Oct 23, MDA had pulled down dozens of buildings in Gol Bagh and Gulgasht Colony areas.
On the other hand, Multan Mayor KaleemUllah had said that extortionists are hampering anti-encroachment operations, however, a sound planning is required to remove encroachments.
The citizens were of the view that district administration needs to take proper measures against encroachments for a permanent solution to the issue.
