KARACHI (Dunya News) – Detained terrorists in Karachi have confessed to using hundi and hawala mechanism to transfer money to Afghanistan for terror financing.
Three kidnappers belonging to a banned outfit were arrested by Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) in Karachi. They have revealed before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that money was transferred to Haji Khan Kandhari through hawala and hundi.
The JIT was also informed that Haji Khan’s network is working in Karachi and Quetta. Terrorist Naimat told the JIT that 50 different bank accounts were used for transfer of money to Afghanistan.
After these revelations, the law enforcement agencies have rounded up around ten suspects during raids in different areas.
