Corps commanders moot discusses security issues

The corps commanders conference on Friday discussed the national security challenges and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing operation in the tribal areas.Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani chaired the conference at General Headquarters inRawalpindi.The participants discussed professional matters in detail and expressed satisfaction over military defence preparations.The army chief expressed satisfaction over the operation for peace and stability in the tribal areas and appreciated the handing over of Shangla and Buner’s management to the civil administration.According to sources, the corps commanders were briefed on COAS’s meeting with US Central Command Commander General James Mattis. The Inter-Services Intelligence director general’s visit to the US on April 11 was discussed.
